Fresh Meats hosted 45 private guests at our inaugural Night Out with the Butcher & Chef on Saturday 27th October. This 3-hour extravaganza included an expert butcher’s demonstration and a 3-course meal to please any gourmand.
The evening began with our manager Jack breaking a beef hindquarter. This allowed our enthralled guests to learn how and where familiar cuts of beef come from.
After some learning came the dining! We started with a seafood tasting platter of salmon sashimi and sweetlip ceviche from our fresh seafood department. Then our main course was a trio of organic, grass-fed and wagyu steaks with potato mash, broccolini and jus. Lastly, a light dessert of berry sorbet and coulis followed suit.
