What if I am not home when you deliver?
All Fresh Meats orders will be left on your doorstep if you are not home at the time of delivery. Chilled or frozen products may spoil or melt if left unrefrigerated so we recommend that someone is at home to receive them. If this is not possible, please leave an esky or icebox so that we can leave your delivery inside with some ice.
We do not accept responsibility for items that could not be received in person at the time of delivery and therefore left unsupervised. Fresh Meats advises that you follow Australian Government guidelines with your food items, whether you purchase them in-store or online. Food Standards Australia Website advises that chilled items left out for:
- Less than 2 hours can be used or put back in the refrigerator to use later
- 2-4 hours can still be used, but shouldn’t be put back in the fridge for use later
- More than 4 hours are at risk of contamination and should be discarded.
Please visit the Food Standards Australia website for more details.
