Jack

General Manager

After 27 years of butchering in QLD, NSW and WA, FRESH MEATS came along and the rest is history. Jack puts his experience to the fore, managing our retail, wholesale and now online business 24/7.  Such is his dedication to quality, our customers and our staff that sometimes we have trouble getting Jack to go home!

Josh

Production Manager

Originally from Burnside, Josh apprenticed in WA before returning home to rack up serious experience in the trade. He’s worked in 30 different Woolworths, and spent many years learning old school butchery in smaller business as well. Nothing’s too much trouble for steady, rock solid Josh and he always gets it done with a smile.

Ian

Food Service SALES Manager, Sunshine Coast

Growing up on a protea farm in Adelaide Hills, Ian always enjoyed fresh produce and good food. He started as a kitchen hand in a heritage listed venue and quickly progressed to run hotels and restaurants in Adelaide and north coast NSW. These experiences enable him to truly understand the needs of our wholesale customers.

Kenny

COLD STORAGE Manager, Brisbane

Brisbane “born and bred” Kenny knows full well what his customers need, having worked in his family’s restaurant since the age of 12. He worked in fine dining kitchens overseas and returned to QLD to run numerous restaurants, including his own. In his spare time, this family man loves to snowboard and go 4WD/camping.

Joell

PREPACK MANAGER 

Originally from NZ, Joell has spent the last 20+ years in Australia and mostly as a Sunshine Coast local. She’s friendly, approachable and enthusiastic but so incredibly hard-working and knowledgeable with her 30+ years in the meat business. She loves anything to do with sport but Rugby Union holds a special place in her heart.

Ian

Seafood Manager

This extraordinary nice guy is an expert in all things seafood, with years of butchering experience as well, and he’s only happy to answer any questions you may have. When fish is not on his mind and in his hands, Ian loves his boating, camping, fishing, kayaking and riding his motorbike. Mr. Outdoors also enjoys the indoors when Call of Duty calls.

Holly

CHICKEN ASST MANAGER

Holly has been here from the start, always with high spirits and a great sense of humour. She cares about those around her – she’s been known to make everyone a birthday cake (it’s getting a little harder now that we have grown). The former queen of Facebook live videos has passed her crown now that she keeps chicken production shipshape!

Brad

In House Chef

Raised in Gippsland VIC, Brad started his career (& his love of golf) at a Melbourne golf club before moving here in ‘99. The joy of cooking good food since childhood continued on through various roles, including head chef at the Cooroy Hotel and Coolum Surf Club. Out of the kitchen, he loves to camp, fish and swim with family.

Scott

RETAIL BUTCHERY MANAGER

Scott is our head retail butcher and fisherman extraordinaire. He has many years of experience and is only to happy to share his knowledge of all things meat and seafood. Snapper, yellow belly, cod, mackerel, tuna – there’s nothing he hasn’t caught off his boat; he’s equally skilled in the world of red meat so ask away for any advice you need!

Steve

Purchasing MANAGER 

Having studied in Sydney as a uni student, Steve loved Australia so much that he decided to become a Sunshine Coast local! This Seoul native is the strong, silent type who ensures products arrive on time and stock levels are where they should be. In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with family and playing a bit of tennis.
